Wine, Women & Wealth

$150 In-Person

Real talk for real women who want to feel better about their money.

Where

Vantage Venues, 150 King St. W., downtown Toronto.

"I do everything he does, but backwards and in high heels." – Ginger Rogers
Women are smart, successful, and strong. We balance the love of family with career ambition and make all that plate spinning look effortless.

Despite our resilience, when it comes to finance, women are still being left behind. Because of the gender wage gap (women in Canada make 88 cents to every dollar a man earns), time taken off for caregiving, and longer life expectancies, nearly half of senior females, despite their marital status or previous affluence, live below the poverty line.

Wine, Women & Wealth aims to change that.

In this no-shame, judgement-free event, we're laying it all on the table, giving you the tools you need to get ahead, achieve peace-of-mind, and sleep better at night.

Whether you've put off investing, relied on someone else to manage the finances, or simply want to better understand your money, WW&W offers realistic ideas to create a future that works for you

This isn't some finger-wagging banker talk where you're made to feel guilty about buying a latte. This is an idea-generating, motivating symposium that pairs expert financial insights with exceptional wine, chef crafted bites, and meaningful conversation. WW&W is welcoming, inclusive, and anything but intimidating.

You'll hear practical advice from respected experts, discover fresh perspectives on investing and wealth building, connect with others on similar journeys, and enjoy an experience designed to make personal finance approachable, inspiring, and – dare we say it? – exciting.

Whether you're taking your first steps or looking to build on what you already know, you'll leave feeling more informed, more empowered, and ready to take a more active role in your financial future.

Let's do this.

Join us for Wine, Women & Wealth Wednesday, September 23 at Vantage Venues, downtown Toronto.

From Financial Advisor to Fiction Author: A Blueprint for Transitioning to a Writer’s Life

presented by Gwen K. Harvey

We all have secret, or not-so-secret, dreams of leaving our current job for a life of fame and fortune – or at least the  peace and quiet of running a charming artists' colony in the country side (or maybe it's a cafe in Paris or perhaps it's a Bread and Breakfast in Tuscany.) In this motivating talk, Gwen Harvey tells us her story of how she did just that. Mixing the practical with creative, the realistic with the ambitious, Gwen uses her own life story of going from financial advisor to published author, and leaves us with the inspiration to turn dreams into reality.

Gwen K. Harvey founded and led a family wealth strategy firm in Toronto for three decades. In 2021, she published her first work of fiction, The Girlfriend Book, and in 2024, The Acquisition of Elizabeth Grace. Gwen is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Creative Writing Certificate program and she's enrolled in Granta's Literary Novel Writing program. She is the mother of three and, alongside her husband and Bernese Mountain dog, Bear, Gwen divides her time between Toronto and the rolling hills of Mulmur, Ontario. To find out more, visit www.gwenkharvey.com.

I had the pleasure of attending the Oceania Cruise event where you conducted a wine pairing. I have to say that your wine and food pairing made a typically ho hum travel information night, spectacular! I have never done a wine pairing. I was amazed at how food interacted with the wines.
Erin did a fantastic job with our group. We all really enjoyed the day. I have already recommended The Wine Sisters for my company events, as it was such a great experience for us.
