Kir Royale

A simple, stylish, classic.
by Erin Henderson
When it comes to cocktails I always lean more to the straight forward, streamlined, and tasty.
I know the social media trend is to create zany (and time consuming, and expensive, and possibly dangerous) cocktails to win the attention of fickle viewers, but that just isn’t me. Never say never, but I would rather have something that works – quickly – so I can get back to my party with something delicious in hand.
A classic Kir Royale, with its crimson hue and wink of fruity sweetness to the sharp stab of brut sparkling wine, is at once familiar and regal. The pin-prick bubbles bursting through the delicate, rosy froth, this is a classic blast from the past that is here to stay. At least at my party.
Kir Royale
We would say the classic Kir Royale is bringing sexy back. However, for Madame Royale, sexy never left.
